Reflection
Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on Foxy Pheasant — how it began, how it has grown, and most importantly, how I want it to feel moving forward.
When I first started Foxy Pheasant, it came from a very simple place: a genuine love of creating. Designing fabrics, developing pieces inspired by country life, and building something personal and meaningful from our little corner of Pembrokeshire.
But as many small businesses grow, things can slowly become louder, faster, and more pressured than originally intended. More stock. More storage. More constant production. More focus on keeping up.
And somewhere along the way, I realised I missed the quieter side of creating — the thoughtful, hands-on part that made me fall in love with this business in the first place.
So, behind the scenes, Foxy Pheasant is evolving, not disappearing, most certainly not closing down – just changing pace.
Moving Towards Smaller, More Intentional Collections
For years, we’ve worked around holding large amounts of stock across many different sizes, styles, and designs. Whilst this allowed products to be available immediately, it also meant needing far more storage, more warehouse space, and inevitably producing more than was always truly needed.
Moving forward, Foxy Pheasant will be transitioning towards exclusive limited monthly releases available primarily through pre-order.
Rather than endlessly manufacturing and storing excess stock “just in case”, we’ll be focusing on creating pieces that are genuinely wanted and genuinely loved.
- Produced in much smaller batches
- Available for a limited time only
- Created more intentionally and sustainably
- Less wasteful and less focused on overproduction
And honestly — it feels much more aligned with who I am.
Why This Matters
Smaller releases mean:
- Less unnecessary waste
- Reduced environmental impact
- Less pressure to constantly overproduce
- More freedom to create unique and limited-edition designs
- More thoughtful collections with greater attention to detail
It also allows Foxy Pheasant to return to something more personal and hands-on — less corporate, less rushed, and far more connected to the original spirit of the brand.
What Happens Next
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be clearing through existing stock as we make space for this new chapter.
Some current designs and products may not return once sold, and future collections will work very differently from the traditional “always in stock” model.
Going forward, when a release opens, you’ll be able to secure your pieces in advance for delivery in around 6 weeks— and once that collection closes, it will be gone.
A slower pace.
Smaller batches.
More intention behind every piece.
The heart of Foxy Pheasant isn’t changing at all. If anything, this next chapter feels far closer to why it began in the first place.
