Classic Black Velvet Scrunchie Headband – Handmade from Upcycled Fabric
Black velvet. Timeless style. A second chance for beautiful fabric.
Sometimes the simplest accessories make the biggest difference.
Our Classic Black Velvet Scrunchie Headband combines the luxurious appearance of soft black velvet with the charm of traditional handmade accessories.
The generously gathered fabric creates a beautifully full, rounded shape that adds texture and volume without being overly dramatic.
Whether you’re heading to work, meeting friends for a glass of wine or simply trying to disguise a questionable hair day, this classic black headband is ready for the occasion.
Rescued Fabric, Reimagined
What makes this headband special isn’t just how it looks. It’s where the fabric came from.
Rather than buying newly manufactured fabric, we’ve used reclaimed black velvet, giving unwanted material another opportunity to be worn and enjoyed.
By transforming existing textiles into beautiful hair accessories, we’re helping reduce unnecessary fabric waste while creating something practical, stylish and long-lasting.
Each headband is individually handmade in Pembrokeshire, Wales, using carefully prepared rescued fabric.
A Classic Handmade Headband
Our Classic Scrunchie Headband measures approximately 5cm at its widest point, with generously gathered velvet creating its distinctive full, softly ruched appearance.
Because every headband is handmade, slight variations in the shape, fullness and gathering are perfectly normal.
No mass production. No unnecessary new fabric. Just beautiful materials given another chance.
Because the little black headband deserves a place in your wardrobe, not somebody else’s bin.
A Little Note About Our Rescued Fabrics
Our fabrics have often lived a life before reaching the Foxy Pheasant workroom, and we don’t always know their full history or exact composition. This black velvet has been reclaimed and reused, meaning we cannot guarantee its precise fibre content. Every piece of fabric is carefully washed, cleaned and pressed before being transformed into something lovely, but if you have allergies or sensitivities to particular textiles, please bear this in mind before purchasing. We recommend treating your headband gently, avoiding harsh cleaning products and excessive washing. A little care, a little common sense and a whole lot less waste!
