1950s Vintage Curtain Fabric Scrunchie Headband
Once upon a time, these were curtains. Now they’re making an entrance of an entirely different kind.
Our Classic Scrunchie Headband has been lovingly handmade from genuine 1950s vintage curtain fabric, transforming a beautiful piece of textile history into a stylish, sustainable hair accessory.
Featuring an unusual combination of rich teal, turquoise and olive green, the textured vintage fabric has a wonderful retro character. It looks equally fabulous paired with a sophisticated roll-neck jumper, a tailored jacket or your favourite everyday outfit.
The classic scrunchie design features generously gathered fabric, creating a full, softly rounded shape measuring approximately 5cm at its widest point.
Each headband is individually handmade in Pembrokeshire, Wales, so slight variations in shape, gathering and finish are all part of its charm.
Beautiful Fabric Deserves a Second Life
At Foxy Pheasant, we’re passionate about rescuing forgotten textiles and turning them into something worth wearing.
By reusing this original 1950s curtain fabric, we’re making the most of materials already in existence instead of demanding more newly manufactured fabric.
It’s a small but meaningful contribution towards reducing textile waste, embracing slow fashion and celebrating the quality and character of vintage materials.
Less waste. More character. And absolutely no need to match the curtains.
Because life’s too short for boring headbands – or perfectly good fabric ending up in the bin.

A Little Note About Our Vintage Fabrics
Our rescued fabrics have already lived a life, and we don’t always know their full story! This headband is made from genuine vintage curtain fabric, so its exact fibre composition is unknown. Every piece of fabric is carefully washed, cleaned and pressed before being transformed into something lovely. However, we cannot guarantee its precise material content or suitability for anyone with textile allergies or sensitivities. If you’re allergic to particular fibres, please bear this in mind before purchasing. Treat your headband gently, avoid harsh cleaning products and remember that vintage fabrics deserve a little extra care. A little mystery, a lot of character and considerably less unnecessary waste!
