If Foxy Pheasant wrote a book ………..

I have never written a book – quite a shock for someone with such a multifaceted career I know. However if I was to write one this is what it would look like and it would sound a little something like this:

“Once upon a time, there was a mummy who ran a business. She worked very hard. She designed lovely things. She made lots of people happy. She also made leggings. Lots and lots of leggings. But one day, Mummy looked at the rising costs, the endless demands and the ever-growing list of things she was supposed to be doing. “Well, this is bollocks,” said Mummy. And so, after much thought, several cups of tea and a surprisingly small amount of guilt, Mummy decided to do something rather radical. She was going to change the rules. Not because she’d failed. Not because she’d stopped loving what she’d created. But because sometimes, the bravest thing a woman in business can do is admit that she wants something different. And Mummy had some rather fabulous ideas. This is her story.”

The next chapters of Foxy Pheasant are only just beginning, and I’d rather like you to be part of the story

The lovely thing is, the story isn’t finished. Far from it. We’re just turning the page.

There’ll be vintage fabrics, fabulous headbands, a bit of doing good, plenty of questionable decisions and undoubtedly the occasional “Oh, for fuck’s sake!” along the way.

So, stick with me, won’t you?

And yes, before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, I’ve used AI.

There’s only one of me. I’m running a business, making things, raising a family, trying to save perfectly good fabric from landfill and occasionally remembering to put the washing on. I don’t have a whole team of creative geniuses and marketing experts on tap.

What I do have is a slightly overactive imagination, a questionable sense of humour and a rather helpful robot.

The ideas, the decisions and the business are all mine.

AI just helps me get the bloody things out of my head and into the world.

So if you’re offended by that, I suggest you don’t ask how I write my shopping lists.

Lets turn that next page

Have I written the next chapters yet? Absolutely bloody not.

But I’ve got plenty of ideas and a long-standing habit of biting off more than I can chew and eating it anyway.

So, stick around and let’s see how this story unfolds.

I can’t promise it’ll all go to plan, but then again, where’s the fun in that?

Now, let’s turn the bloody page.

Stay foxy, Amanda x
